Changes that could be made to your study programme

Hello everyone, today I am going to talk to you about some changes I would make to my study program. I am currently in my second year of Architecture. The truth is that at the moment I feel a bit overwhelmed by the academic load, I am close to the final exams of the theoretical courses and there are very hard weeks ahead, so this topic appeared at the right time. My experience these two years has been online because of the pandemic and one of the modalities chosen this year was not to have the theoretical courses and the workshop at the same time, which allows me to concentrate my attention in a better way. In normal mode when it was face-to-face, the theoretical courses and workshop were simultaneous, it is certainly something that I would not like to experience when everything returns to normal because I think it would be too much academic load. So I would like to keep that change adopted in this context. I went to the the faculty for the first time very recently, but I have no

Time to travel to the future

Hello everyone, the topic I’m going to talk about today is Time travel to the future I would like to travel 20 years in the future, to see if I have achieved the things I currently aspire to, such as having a stable job, starting a family, or if I find myself traveling and getting to know new places. If I am working, if I am happy in what I am doing or if it is the job I am currently studying for or if I decided to make other decisions. Obviously I would also want to see how my family is doing and who knows if there are going to be new family members. I would also like to see which friendships after 20 years will still be there and which will not, I am curious about that, even if it is not what I expect. Another thing I would like to know is if I developed new talents, as I personally am always looking for new things to spend my time on. I would not like to stay there, the truth is that one of the objectives of traveling in the future for me would be to see what things I d

My future job

When I picture myself in the future, I imagine myself surrounded by good and kind colleagues to work and to hang out on my free time with. Now, talking about my kind of job, I would like to work on the sustainable area, creating sustainable public spaces and energy efficient houses to the community, this way, I would be contributing to the society with my own skills and resources. I would like to be on the area of the social housing too, helping people and doing charitable projects for the neediest people, homeless people. I also imagine myself having a job where I can travel a lot, so I can learn from other countries, how the architecture works in there, and learn about some other sustainable techniques or strategies that I could apply here in the country.  Something that I like about my career, is that it is very connected with the environment, so it is very related with being on the ground. About my salary, in my opinion I do not ask too much, I want to earn enough money to live wi

My bucket list

The first thing on my bucket list would be to travel to the Caribbean at least once a year to rest from everything, but also to dive. I did this once and it was a great experience, it can be a little dangerous, but at that moment I felt very free and relaxed, time goes by very fast and I would love to do it again, I would do this activity with friends, I feel it would be a great experience, to share these moments with them. The second thing on my list would like to travel to Virginia to visit "Mystic Falls" which is a fictional city set in my favorite series "The vampire diaries". I think I have an obsession and maybe for many it would it would be a stupid activity to include, but I know my best friend would go with me because we are both obsessed with this series. My favorite food has always been pasta, and I would love to travel to Italy and eat the best pasta in the world. This activity I would do with my family because we share a love for this type of

Muy favorite movie

My favorite movie is “Unbroken”, it is about a man who is son of an Italian couple of immigrants that lives in the US. He is an athlete that gets to be in the Olympic Games but with the arrival of the Second World Ward he had to enlist in the army. I like this movie because is an American war-drama film inspired by a true story.  However, I like to watch horror movies because they are my favorite ones, especially the found footage kind. I have seen a lot of them, and they never bore me, even though it is kind of hard to find some good ones that are worth it, but if you get to find a good film, in my opinion you won´t regret it at all.  And now that we are talking about movies, I’d like to talk about the last one I have seen, it was “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” and it was awesome, I completely recommend it because it is great, especially if you like comics an all that stuff that comes with it and leaves you mind-blowing.

My first and best concert

When I was a child, at 7 years old I watched on TV a series called ‘’Amango’’. It was about a group of teenagers who studied in an arts academy and they created a musical group. Of course I knew every single song of this serie and I love it. It was starred by Augusto Schuster (my first love) who parallel to his acting career is also a singer and Magdalena Muller who lately appeared in the chilean TV series ‘’Isla Paraiso’’, ‘’Edificio Corona’’ and others. In 2009 I saw an advertisement on TV that they would perform a concert at Movistar Arena in Puerto Montt. I didn´t live there but part of my family lived there and my family and I often went to visit them and one of those trips coincided with the date of the concert (maybe I insisted a little bit for that to happen), so things worked out the best way for me to attend. So I went with my mom and cousin. It was my first concert and I remember being so happy, I probably lost my voice but it was worth it. I don´t remember much ab

The country that I would llike to visit

Imagen
Hi, everyone. My name is Gabriela Belmar, I’m 19 years old, and I would like to travel to England. There are three reasons to choose this country. First, the language and of course the accent, because to me, is not the same listening to an American accent than a British one; I really love how British people talk and express. In second place, I would like to know more about their culture. And third, the landscape; I’ve seen so many beautiful pictures of so many different places all around England that I would do anything to visit them. I know England it’s an important part of the United Kingdom, and it’s bounded on the north by Scotland. Also, I know they are ruled by monarchy. What would I like to do there…? Well, there are a lot of things I would like to do there, for example, try every typical food and drinks, or learn about what they do on some important holydays.   If you ask me if I would like to study, work, or live there, my answer to all these questions would be yes. I’
